If your email account has been deleted, deactivated, or migrated to a different email domain, it will no longer work in Spark as expected. You may also see error messages when trying to use it.
How to fix the issue
- Remove the affected account from Spark.
- If the domain has changed (for example, from @oldcompany.com to @newcompany.com), add the new account manually in Spark.
Spark may temporarily display some of your previously fetched emails thanks to cached data, but this information is not permanent and will eventually be overwritten. Please note that Spark doesn’t download your emails, so they are not stored in the app - you can learn more in our Privacy Policy.
Before or during the migration, make sure your emails are properly transferred to the new servers. This is typically handled by your domain migration service.
If the migration wasn’t completed and your old emails are no longer visible on your email provider’s webmail interface, unfortunately, Spark cannot restore those emails.
In this case, please try contacting your previous email provider’s support team. Depending on the email provider's data retention policies, their support team may provide possible solutions on data recovery and whether it is possible to import the messages manually.
